Max was brought to our shelter by a neighboring town’s police officer after being seen running the streets for several weeks. Max was reported as being hit by a car and was found limping around woefully. We have confirmed with the vet that no major or permanent injuries were sustained and are seeking a responsible home for Max. We are guessing his breed is Dalmation/Lab or possibly Dalmation/American Bulldog; heavy on the Dalmation side judging from his movement and personality. He is about a year and a half old and weights just under 70 pounds. Max walk very nicely on a leash and has never messed in his kennel. He loves soft toys, balls, sticks, and giving kisses. Max is a big puppy but has “little man” syndrome when it comes to other dogs. As big as he is he prefers his canine companions to be smaller than him or female and is not quite sure of what to think about cats. Max is very protective of his people and will let “intruders” know to stay away. Max’s adopter should be capable of handling a large dog and being the “leader” of the pack. If you are interested in adopting Max you may apply online at www.sapamo.org
